Networking is a repetitive facet of everyday life, as a charity-worker, business person and entrepreneur. Like many, I need to see a ROI (return on investment) for any longevity in memberships and renewals. I am pleased to say I get that from Moor Than A Club [Stockport], Oldham Athletic Business Club and BNI (‘Charity Seat’) both [Boundary Park].
Today, I represented Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) at ‘The Business League’ at Lancashire Football Association. Gratitude to Julie Hinchliffe and Sarah Singleton for the invitation to attend.
Great bunch of people gathered. From stakeholders much engagement and traction now in pipeline. Day started with insight to modern accounting and adding value from Mick Seddon. Then inspirational guidance into mental health and resilience from Danny Sculthorpe. Sure we will colaborate at potentially OACT and Zebra Ragbi.
Seems likely, I will add The Business League to my quarterly, networking rota. Well done Lancashire FA and Elcon.
Work hard, play hard
